Fold both the top and bottom outer edges inward to meet precisely at the central horizontal crease line. Take the resulting narrow rectangular strip and fold it in half vertically from right to left to mark the central vertical axis, then unfold it completely back to the strip shape.
Step 2: Wing & Flap Construction
Gently lift and open the right edge of the folded paper strip. Bring the top-right and bottom-right corners diagonally inward along the existing fold lines, flattening the paper down to create a crisp triangular flap pointing outward. Repeat this exact process on the left side, carefully flattening the corners to create a matching, symmetrical triangular wing structure on both ends.
Step 3: Diamond Base Alignment
Flip the entire piece over so the smooth side is facing upward. Take the outer triangular points on both the left and right sides and bend them inward toward the central vertical axis.
