  3. Template
  4. Glue (suitable for fabric and felt).

  6. Curly hole punch (to create flower shapes).
  7. Iron (to add volume to the EVA foam flowers).
  8. Scissors (for precise cutting).
  9. Green EVA foam sheet (for leaves).

Important Notes

  • Ensure you use sequins on a fabric base for easier handling and a consistent finish.
  • Templates are crucial for shaping the sparkling balloons accurately. Download the provided template for best results.
  • Work carefully with the iron when shaping EVA foam to avoid burns.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Template

  • Download the template provided in the video’s infobox, or trace your desired balloon shape onto paper.
  • Cut out the balloon-shaped template and make sure it fits the scale you need for the project.

Step 2: Transfer and Cut Out the Base

  • Place the template on the sequin fabric base.
  • Trace the template’s shape onto the fabric using a marker or chalk.
  • Carefully cut out the sequin fabric into a balloon shape, following the traced outline.

Step 3: Attach to Hard Felt

  • Apply glue to the back of the sequin fabric, starting from the center of the balloon shape.
  • Gently press the fabric onto a hard felt sheet. Smooth it out to eliminate any wrinkles or bubbles.
  • Allow the glue to dry completely.

Step 4: Add the Balloon Basket

  • Cut a small rectangular shape out of the sequins or another material to act as the balloon basket.
  • Glue the basket shape just below the main balloon piece on the hard felt base.

Step 5: Cut Out the Appliqué

  • Once the balloon and basket are firmly attached and the glue is dry, cut out the entire shape (including felt backing) carefully along its edges.

Step 6: Make EVA Foam Flowers

  • Punch out flower shapes from the mini EVA foam paper using the curly hole punch.
  • Heat each flower shape briefly using an iron. This will add volume and dimension to the flowers.

Step 7: Add Decorative Leaves

  • Cut leaf shapes out of the green EVA foam sheet.
  • Attach the leaves to the balloon, positioning them around its base or along the flowers.

Step 8: Decorate the Balloon

  • Arrange and glue the prepared flowers and leaves onto the balloon as desired to create a detailed, polished look.

Step 9: Final Touches

  • Check for any loose edges and reapply glue if needed.
  • Allow the entire piece to dry completely before using or displaying it.
